Julia LaMendola is a multifaceted artist renowned for her innovative contributions across a spectrum of creative disciplines, including performance art, music composition, acting, and visual arts. With decades of experience and a distinguished career, Julia continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences worldwide.
Most recently, Julia released an EP titled Blinding Shape Lights You, Moves and Twists You with her band Endless Arrows. This release further cements her reputation as a leading force in the experimental anti-folk music scene. In 2023, Endless Arrows also released the album Animals Keep Time, adding to Julia’s rich discography that includes her solo project EP Instruction (2019).
As a current member of the 7 Daughters of Eve Theater and Performance Company, Julia has showcased her talents at esteemed venues such as The Whitney Museum of American Art, where she performed in 12 Shouts to the 10 Forgotten Heavens in 2019. Her composition work for Sasquatch Rituals at The Kitchen in 2018 exemplifies her ability to merge music and performance art in groundbreaking ways. Julia’s involvement with the Obie Award-winning Nature Theater of Oklahoma, particularly in their acclaimed production Life and Times, further highlights her dynamic presence in the world of theater.
Julia’s film credits include The Red Ferrari by Adam Green, and her music has been prominently featured at major festivals such as South by Southwest, Art Basel, Primavera Sound Festival, and Danube Festival. Her band Endless Arrows was recognized by New York Press in 2009 as part of the "Best Live Band In Town."
In addition to her musical and theatrical accomplishments, Julia’s collaborations with other musicians and her cameo as a vocal actor on the Meet Cute podcast underscore her continued influence in the arts. Her theater performances have garnered international acclaim, with reviews from prominent publications including Time Out New York, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Der Zeit.
